I’ve (Jen) spent the last couple of weeks since Syracuse taking a bit of a break from running. My mileage has been very minimal and in all honesty…it’s been kid of nice! Between Ragnar, Chicago and Syracuse all within just a couple weeks of each other my body was definitely ready for a little bit of rest.
We’ve been working on building our schedules for 2018 and they’ve shaped up pretty well. Travis will be running Boston in April and I just found out that I got accepted in for the NYC Half Marathon so we’re both back to training now.
One of the areas that I really want to focus on to support the running goals that I have for 2018 is nutrition. This is one of my biggest struggles. In order to get started on the right foot for the year, I have registered for the Runners Fit and Fueled Course being put on by Laura from Mommy Run Fast.
This will be a month long course beginning January 2. It’s broken down into 6 modules that can be done at your own pace and covering topics like nutrient timing, macros and metabolic efficiency. In addition there will be information on building a solid training plan and sample meal plans and grocery lists.
